But first, Breakfast!

Breakfast is everything. The beginning, the first thing. It is the mouthful that is the commitment to a new day, a continuing life. –Β A A Gill

I know it might look crazy for me to write an entire blog on Breakfast, but believe me it is so much worth for to have this entire section dedicated. You’ll soon know why. πŸ™‚

“Break-fast” sounds like breaking a fast? “Oh no, I wasn’t fasting”, you might think right? πŸ™‚ Well, we all do that during that long peaceful sleep until morning. So, this is one of those rule kind-of-things which tells you to break something, yes, you ought to break that fast right away when you wake up! Your body is in an urgent need of a fuel to begin it’s work for the day coming up.Β Breakfast kick-starts your metabolism, helping you burn calories throughout the day. It also gives you the energy you need to get things done and helps you stay focussed. Where as, skipping this crucial morning meal can throw off your body’s rhythm of fasting and eating. When you wake up, the blood sugar that your body needs to make your muscles and brain work their best, is usually low. Breakfast would help to replenish it.Β If your body doesn’t get that fuel from food, you may feel zapped of energy — and you’ll be more likely to overeat later in the day. And I’m sure none of us want that as everyone today wants to stay on the lower side of that weighing scale. πŸ˜‰ That’s actually one of the main reasons that I don’t skip breakfast. πŸ™‚ Read More

Fall seven times, stand up eight…

You know you’ve failed many times since you’ve started attempting on things. You’ve failed when you attempted to first start walking, you’ve failed to meet your expectations to get those good grades at school, you’ve failed to get your dream job. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Each one of us have gone through that, some might have faced it a lot more than others, but the truth is that we all have been there! But you know what the amazing thing is- the fact that you have attempted. And what could be more amazing than this is that you keep going to achieve it.

Dear mom & dad…

Dear mom & dad,

I just want to let you know that I love you both so much…

From the very first day I opened my eyes to this world you have sculpted me with your own hands so that I could bloom like a flower which is strong enough to withstand all the adversities. It is often said that we realize value of something when it’s far away from us. As a kid, we never realize the value of having our parents beside us. But, today I really thank God that he always assured his presence in my life in the form of you both. Read More

Conquer with positivity

So, are you also one of those out there who’s constantly yelling at life for some reasons like not getting the good score you worked hard for, failing to get admission in the college you wished to, not getting the job you really wanted, or you don’t have that one person in your life you wanted to be forever with? Okay pal, let me tell you that you are not alone. We all have been in that place for some or the other reason, losing out all the hopes, allowing ourselves to be trapped in the circle of negativity that never lets us open our minds to think beyond. But, wait for a moment, take a deep breath and think, is your being negative helping out anyways? If I somehow failed at something and I just sit in my room crying over that, it’s not just going to get things any easier. Right? What should I be doing then? Well, it’s a simple two-way thing. Either I decide to go and get it by doing whatever it takes, or I accept it happily. Hey, accepting here doesn’t mean that you are a loser. I do not say that, if you’re not getting a job, or you’re getting rejected constantly then just accept, that you will never be able to get one. πŸ™‚ Of course, you have to work harder towards it and just get it. But for some situations in life, where there is no harm it is better to accept things as they are. Read More

Be you, Be beautiful

“You are beautiful!”, yes I am very much using this word for you. What makes me say so? But what makes you think that I should not be calling you that? You are beautiful, I am beautiful, this world is beautiful. But, what is beauty anyway? Well, the meaning of “being beautiful” has drastically changed over these years, I mean hell drastically. Years back, beauty was seen in simplicity, it was something that came naturally. People back then used to be ‘satisfied’ with how ever they looked, they considered that beauty. But today, you are considered as beautiful only if you have that slim waistline. πŸ™‚ Isn’t it? Every one is going crazy about losing that extra weight and getting rid of that tummy fat. Yes, after all we are living in the “Insta-book-itter” era, we want to pose for pictures, look fabulously slim and hear praises and have lots and lots of likes. πŸ™‚ That’s why we want that slim body. That’s actually good, at least there is something that keeps us motivated, thank you Social media! πŸ™‚ But hey, please don’t mess that up with beauty. Being slim does not necessarily mean beautiful. Positivi-“tea”

“Give me tea or give me tea, there is no other option.” Well, yes that’s me. πŸ™‚

Many of us are addicted to tea, isn’t it? I am sure you can very much relate to this. For me, tea is life. I so dearly love it that I can stay a day without food only if I have tea. Since when did our affair start? πŸ™‚ Hmm, like during high school, I started taking it little by little and unknowingly got addicted. Since then, it has helped me stay awake days and nights studying for my exams, work till late for office, it has stayed by me whenever I felt low, it has taken care of me when I had headaches, it has managed to cure just everything from random mood swings to severe headaches. Sometimes I seriously wonder “Do I ever need a medicine if I have tea?” πŸ™‚Β  Read More

Eat like you love yourself

There are hundreds and thousands of articles on the internet making their way to you every single day about staying healthy, losing weight, do this not that, eat this not that. Give yourself a break, just pause everything right at this very moment. Recall that definition we studied about in school on what health is? Yes right, it is not just your physical well being (or outer appearance) but it is the total well being of an individual which includes physical, and mental health (Inner peace) as well. We all know that to maintain physical health we should all do some sort of exercise on a regular basis. But, sometimes unknowingly we cut off more than what we do by not eating the correct food, at the correct time, the correct way. Each one of us has a different body type and accordingly different needs, the food proportions may vary for each one of us but the healthy eating habits stay the same. πŸ™‚ Here are a few of them that you might want to have a look upon. I am sure you will relate to each one of these – Read More

The power of “Om”

“Om” – The sound of all sounds, the sound of universe, the sound of creation. This is the very first word I was taught by my mother while learning spirituality through chanting of different mantras. On a daily basis before sleeping, she used to teach me one mantra and made me chant all of them one by one and this is how it kept on adding up. As a kid, I didn’t understand why it was important or why would chanting a few mantras going to help me? Was it going to help me to score good marks in school, or was it going to help me get a new doll back then? πŸ™‚ Read More
